Welcome to Clinton Oaks

| |
| Welcome to our
photo gallery...here you will see pictures that were sent to us
by the owners of dogs bred here at Clinton Oaks.
I LOVE getting the
pictures and seeing how they have grown up. I want to
thank each of you for giving one of our dogs a wonderful home,
which are obviously full of love. I also want to thank you for staying in touch.
We have
made some wonderful friends over the years!
These are pictures from
the past few years, In 2004 we had
a web site crash and lost photos that had been emailed to us since our
web site was launched in 1999. Enjoy the beautiful people, dogs
and the wonderful notes.

Hey Gina,
How are you. I have been meaning to send you pictures
of Chase. So I finally got around to it. I can't believe that they are 6
months old already. Chase has outgrown Dee Dee by about 11
lbs. She is 60 lbs and
Dee Dee is 49. They are great puppies. These are all taken
up north and my uncle is standing with Chase in one of the
pictures and then there is a picture with both Dee Dee and
Chase.
I hope things are going well with you and at the Kennel. I
hope you have a wonderful 2010. :)

Happy New Year Gina,
I thought it was about time I sent you a
Picture of Stella
(DOB 7-09-2009). Six months old and I no
longer have any rights to the couch.
She's a very very smart pup! Sometime
too much so. Can you tell me who's
training who?
Thanks again for everything. Feel good
in knowing she's loved very much

Teague
Boshoven, of Mount Airy, MD mouse hunting!
Not only is he gorgeous
but he is really smart and really mellow!! We had him at a
football party yesterday at someone's house and he settled
right down unless someone bugged him to play (at which point
he went crazy).
The mouse thing is funny because we watched him the
other day rooting around for like 20 minutes... he would
root, stop and listen, dig and root some more. We never saw
him come up with anything but were suspecting he had
something trapped under the snow.
Thanks again, he really is a GREAT dog!!

This is Josie Bendix of Michigan City, Indiana, as a baby and
all grown up! Josie was born the day after Thanksgiving last year at
our home in Northern Michigan...the first and only pups ever born
there! Thank you for the pictures JoFran, she is just beautiful!
Gina,
Merry Christmas to you as well.
I've been meaning to send photos of our Josie. She's great company
and watches everything. I've sent the sleeping pup, the first time
she noticed a bird, two shots of her watching from one of her
favorite "perches", the family room couch; and two shots of her up
at the Lake Place in Minnesota, again watching, this time the action
on the bay and the neighbors. She loves to wrestle with her master
and is always very playful. We love her to bits!!! She also has a
wonderful, cuddly downtime ability. I'll try to send more photos.
She, of course, has just turned one the day after Thanksgiving.
I'm so glad we found you.....we love our Josie!
Keep in touch,
JoFran and Garry Bendix

Gina!
Can you believe that Mia was 1 year old yesterday? It
really seems like just yesterday that I came to pick her up on
December 27 on a snowy cold day! I just wanted you to know that as
she has grown each month, she has become a wonderful companion and a
very loving and affectionate dog. We love her so much.
She is such great company for my mother who is 85 and is
at home with her all day. She is never alone. I always wondered
why Mia always smells like Elizabeth Taylor's White Diamonds
fragrance. My Mom told me each morning Mia sits on her bed while
she is dressing. When my Mom puts her powder on, she dabs Mia on
the top of her head and tells her that because she is a girl, she
has to smell good. Mia has come to know she will get her head
powdered each morning. It is the cutest thing as she sits and waits
for my Mom to do this. Jennifer and Jeff play with her and love her
up all the time. She gets plenty of kisses from all of us each and
every day.
We are so thankful you decided to sell her to us because
she was the only female in her litter. But the good Lord had other
plans for her life and she was meant to bring happiness and joy into
our home once again after much sadness over our loss of our beloved
Willow.
You have given me two of my most treasured things in my lifetime . .
. my two beautiful cocker spaniels.
Sandy Wallace, St. Clair Shores, MI

Hi Gina,
It has been over a year and I have not let you know about how Riley is doing.
He is a very affectionate boy, and way smart. I take obedience lessons from
Denise Whitfield in Indianapolis area and she thinks that I should give him to
her. HA! He is a natural for heeling with style. He is progressing on his
tracking to where I will get him Certified soon. I had his eyes CERF and his
Thyroid checked, and he is normal on both. We still have to crate him when we
go to work, he is only safe for short periods of time. Those active minds can
find something to get into...and my throw rugs are a great tug toy.
He is a great addition to our family. He has fit right in and is a fast buddy
to my other Golden Clancy.
I have attached a recent photo that was taken by a friend of mine. She sells
these pictures to calendars. Clancy made the 2010 Golden Retriever by
Browntrout, hopefully Riley will too.
Thanks for breeding such a nice dog for me.

Hi Gina. I just wanted to let you know that David and I are really enjoying
our puppy, Cooper. I attached a recent picture of him - he's so cute &
getting big! He's the hit of the neighborhood - you wouldn't believe the
number of people we've met (and I've lived there 6 years!)
He's a really great dog so far....has his stubborn moments, but what puppy
doesn't? We are approaching our 3rd puppy kindergarten class and we've been
taking him on Tuesday nights to a "puppy party" where he can run & socialize
with other dogs. He does really well with people and other dogs. He's not
really interested in going on walks yet but everyone says that's temporary.
We were curious if you might be able to share how he scored on the puppy
aptitude test. Now that we've gotten to know him, we thought that the
comparison would be interesting.
Thank you again for such a great puppy! We really are enjoying him!!

Thank you Herm for the updated pix!
Hi Gina,
Sorry it took so long to get some new photos – a bunch
were sitting in the camera, and I just took some more today after his
grooming last week. He seems to be holding at about 17 pounds. Pretty
handsome, huh?
Hope all is well out in Michigan. Any new litters
planned?

Hi Gina,
All is well with the Green family. Ruby is a great addition to the family. She
is bringing out the "puppy" in her big sister Piper. Potty training is going
great. She is growing leaps and bounds. Here are some pics of her first days
and first trip to the lake. She's going to be a great swimmer like "Piper".

this is Forrest Malek...is this a guilty look or what??? He must have
done something....

Hope everything is well with you. Sometime later today I
hope to send you a few pictures of Abby on the anniversary
of her first birthday. Jerry was having problems getting
the pictures off of the camera onto the computer. She is
such a sweetheart most of the time. She loves her big
brother, Seamus. She recently completed Beginning Obedience
at Canine Workshop and in my opinion she was the best young
dog there.
Her favorite spot is either in Jerry or my lap as we sit in
the Lazy-Boy. She plays, she runs, she jumps, she stalks
birds, she attacks Seamus when he is trying to sleep, and
she does get into trouble. She has recently found
fascination in electrical cords (which weren’t plugged in
thank goodness) so she is definitely not allowed to be
without supervision.
I tried to get Jerry to buy Carmine but he thought 3 young
dogs would be too much for us old folks. Hope we can bring
her by some Saturday so you can see her in person. Look for
pictures soon. Thank you again for your high standards in
breeding dogs.

June 22, 2009 (YAY COOP!)

Hi Gina,
We did another AKC Trial last weekend in
Cumberland, Maine. The Obedience and Rally events
took place in a dirt-floored Pulling Arena that must
have been a veritable Smorgasbord of smells! We
qualified for our 2nd leg in Rally Novice A. We
NQ'd again in Obedience, but it was mostly my fault
this time, I couldn't stop talking to Cooper. He
was doing so well and watching me and heeling nicely
and before I could stop myself I was talking to him
-- oops! He did also break the sit stay again,
along with two of the other dozen or so dogs. Is
there ever a novice event where all the dogs stay?
We also completed our Beginners Agility Class
and move directly into the next Agility class this
Sunday. Cooper is doing all of the obstacles
(except the weave poles, which we haven't seen in
class yet) with confidence, even the teeter. He
really loves being on the move.
We have been working on scent articles too and
Cooper is doing really well. He is consistently
finding the right article out of 3 in both metal and
leather.
I was away last week, so Ken took Coop on his
morning walks. On three different days they saw two
black bears (a mom and baby), a gray fox, and a
turkey! This morning we startled a pair of
partridges right under our feet. In each case,
Cooper just sat and watched. What a perfect dog!
We are totally amazed each day by what a
wonderful dog Cooper is. He is sweet and funny, and
just about the smartest boy there is. I don't know
what your secret recipe is, but don't change a
thing
:-)

Clinton Oaks Delta Breeze
1995-2010
Delta was the second
generation of Parti Cockers born here. She had the
cute habit of scrunching up her short little nose in
what is commonly known as "smiling" a trait passed
on to her from her mother. Delta was in our breeding
program and retired at the age of 5 and went to live
with Linda Pidutti of Mt. Clemens, MI. Linda and
Delta later retired to the Tampa/St. Pete area,
where she enjoyed the rest of her life. Delta passed
away at the age of 14 years 7 months and her owner
sent us this little tribute. Thank you Linda for
providing such a wonderful home for one of our dogs.

Hi Gina,
Happy New Year. We took a few pictures of Abby during
Christmas and I wanted to send them along to you. There
is also a picture of Seamus, Abby’s Big Brother, who she
loves more than us. If you notice the picture of the
tree with no ornaments or bows on the bottom – Abby did
her own decorating this year. She was constantly taking
the ornaments off. It’s a good thing she is so cute –
it keeps her from getting in big
trouble.
She is so much fun and has a fabulous personality. She
talks – in the mornings mostly – she has the funniest
howls.
Thank you again for your dedication in good breeding of
your cocker spaniels. We have only had two of your
puppies and they have both been exceptional. Hope to
bring Abby by soon for you to see her in person.

"Bruno" (Ch.
Meadowpond Mac Truck son)
Gina,
Bruno was a big boy, but never heavy. He absolutely loved
to swim and the last weekend of his life he spent
at Hubbard Lake swimming his heart out. He was incredibly
gentle with any children. All of our daughters loved him,
especially our youngest, Allison. He was very good friends
with my Dad's dog, Murphy. Murphy passed away this past
spring. Bruno loved to sit in our front yard and watch the
world go by. He also loved the leaves and the snow. He'd
find a big pile of either and roll around in them. He was
such a wonderful dog. I still miss him everyday. Thanks
for letting me share.

We are so happy to share these pictures of Stella with

Anyway, I

time where he was going through a little bit of an awkward
phase. He is much "prettier" now (as my wife puts it).

passed away yesterday. Rest in Peace Charlie.

Dear
Gina,
Charlie went peacefully yesterday. He no longer has to be
pain or suffer. He was my beloved friend and faithful
companion, who will be in my heart forever. We have so many
great memories of Charlie and will cherish the the many
wonderful years that we had. The grandchildren already have
him up in heaven with their pet guinea pig.
I thank you so much for your words of encouragement which
helped us not to be selfish and do it for Charlie. He did
let us know. Here are a couple of pictures of Charlie. The
last 2 were taken last week.
Again thank you for everything,

Gina-
I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how our
puppy Dexter is doing. He is such a wonderful addition to
our home. He loves to play with our lab and the lab loves
it too. The girls love to cuddle and play with him and I
enjoy having him run around the house and follow me while I
do laundry and sweeping - he loves to attack my dust mop! I
actually have crate him because he just can't resist it! He
really enjoys going to soccer games and sleeping in the
grass or meeting other dogs - he is very social and loves to
meet people and animals. We are so happy with his
temperament - just the right amount of confidence without
aggression. Thanks for sharing him with us!
Oh- I almost forgot! Can you resend me the link to the
Cocker Spaniel board - it got deleted by accident. Thanks!

Gina, I have one
of your dogs. He is 9 and he is the
best dog in the whole wide world.
You handed him off to us March
2000. He is a golden retriever
(very light) in color. His parents
were Cora and Trick or Treat. He is
gorgeous. Everyone, and I mean
everyone stops and says what a
beautiful golden we have. He could
be a model! I have been hesitant to
get another puppy because how could
I get another perfect dog like
Griffin? However, I think we might
be ready. Is it true you have some
males ready for pick up? I would
love a male. Let me know.

Hi Gina,
Cooper is on his first vacation with us
at Cape Cod. He had an adventure filled
morning (attached a couple of pics)! We
went out fishing in Ken's small aluminum
outboard. Cooper jumped right into the boat
at the dock and was very excited by all the
fresh, salty new smells. Then, as he peered
over the gunwales of the boat, the bow
splash became irresistible and before I
could utter a sound, he jumped in! I had
his long line on him and he was paddling
furiously. He drifted back a few feet and
Ken hauled him out of the water. I thought
he would be frightened out of his wits, but
after several vigorous shakes (a soaking for
me) he was back peering over the gunwales,
although with a bit more caution. We pulled
the boat out on an island and got out to
walk the beach. Cooper was thrilled! He
ran like a crazy man cutting big donuts in
the sand. He tried chasing a few seagulls,
then came back for hugs. What a morning!
On Saturday, we will compete in our first
AKC Trial - we are signed up for Rally and
Obedience. On June 28th we take our Canine
Good Citizen test. We'll let you know how
things go.
Hope all is well with you and your happy
Goldens!

Dear Gina,
I was just browsing your website to take a look at
the puppies and how they are coming along. I sometimes
browse through your photo gallery and I was looking at
all the wonderful dogs that you have proudly placed with
their loving families and I thought about how lucky we
all are. I see the pictures of Cali who was the love of
my life and I know that her spirit will always be in my
heart and I looked at my sweet little Remy who has
brought so much joy to my life.... you might consider
yourself a professional breeder but I thank you for
being who you are and having the integrity of bringing
these little angels in our world responsibly.
Remy is so handsome everywhere I go everyone tells me
how good looking he is and what a wonderful dog he is.
In fact, at his new school they have doggie ambassador's
that are exceptional canines... you guessed it, he will
be featured on their website as their new ambassador.
Remy is smart, get along with everyone and gives clear
and precise messages, I am so proud of my little guy. I
am just grateful that I have Remy especially during
these crazy times we are living in he bring joy and
light in my life.
Thank you Gina

Hi Gina, Just sending an update on Ximen who is now
3 years old. He has been hard at work as a therapy dog with a reading
program in public school, his own classroom in Special School district
where he work with a speech therapist and the kids, and a volunteer (one
of the most requested) in the visiting nurse hospice program. On
Saturday, Ximen was in the dog show and got his 3rd leg, so he now has
his CD title! He also scored 196 1/2 and took first place. New we
start on CDX training.

Hi Gina,
I have been meaning to email for some time to tell you what a
joy my little Cody is, thanks for creating this wonderful gift!
He is such a smart little guy, he learns new commands so
quickly. He's also incredibly social; he loves puppy
kindergarten class and puppy daycare, lots of chances to romp
and bounce with other puppies! The cold weather here in Syracuse
has not been his favorite thing, but we are gradually working up
to longer walks. He has such a loving and wonderful personality,
when he gets a little sleepy his favorite thing is a lap to curl
up on. I just adore him, and wanted to let you know how well he
is doing!
Happy New Year, ~ Soren Lowell

Here is a link to a BOATLOAD of pictures of Bosun...a Vizsla pup
living the high life in California with his best friend Van
Bosun's Day!

This is Echo, she is loved by
Peggy and Jim Hackstedde, apparently this
is what she now considers her 'private stock' of toys.
Merry Christmas to all!

The definition of LUCKY DOG? one that in December, is living in
California!
This is "Bosun" and I do believe that is the Golden Gate Bridge in
the background...and the Pacific Ocean..<sigh>...I must make it a policy
to go check out new owner's homes personally... especially in
those states with good weather ☺I
just need to know they are in good places!!
Thanks Van, GREAT pictures

Dear Gina,
Thank you for your patience, It has been a busy couple of weeks.
"Sailor" is doing great. She is full of energy now and is having so
much fun with us. There isn't a single place in our home that she
hasn't explored. Every once in a while we'll lose sight of her and then
see her dart out from under a bookshelf. Yesterday we had Thanksgiving
at Alaina's families house in Brighton, and we took all six dogs for a
walk in the woods. It was so cool to see her following the 2 bird dogs,
trying to see what the were looking for. She loves to go on walks and
is getting used to her leash. Her brother Cowboy has been teaching her
how to squirrel hunt the past few days also. Just this morning on our
walk they worked together to chase down four squirrels. They have such
a great time together. Thank you so much for everything. I hope that
you had a nice thanksgiving, and best wishes for the upcoming Holidays
also.

Gina,
Sorry for the delayed reply. I have a new email and only check this one
every once in awhile. My husband, Bryan, and I were just talking about
you and we always check in on the website and noticed the new litter...
so stinkin' cute! Wish we could get another one!!! If you still need
another reference, we'd be happy to do it.
I'm also attaching a few pictures of Wrigley. He's a wonderful dog and
an important member of the family. He's so active and LOVES sticks,
retrieving, and swimming... especially when you put the three together.
He could seriously go all day long if we'd let him. I also think he'd
run himself to death if we let him! And then he snores, so funny! Two of
the pictures were taken this past summer in Charlevoix, MI. We had a
boat out on Lake Charlevoix and Wrigley was retrieving sticks and
figured out how to climb the ladder the in the back to get onto the boat
between throws! He's a character alright! The other picture is quite
rare... of him being lazy. We love him very much and are so pleased with
the dog you matched us up with.
Thanks,
Bryan and Nisha

Hi Gina,
Everything is going well, Zeke is a very special member of
our family, and is very smart and well trained. He goes hunting with me
at
every opportunity.
He has turned out on the small size for the breed, he is only 45lbs, and
just
23 inches at the withers. I would be happy to talk to anyone interested in
a
puppy from your kennel.

Just wanted to send you this
picture of Abby. She is doing really well. Eating good, behaving
relatively well, aggravates Seamus to no end. She starts Puppy Class in
two weeks and I am having her spayed on October 23 so she will miss one
week but that is OK. She comes when you call her and knows
“sit”.
Great personality
which was the thing that I loved about Tyler who we bought from you.
Thank you for breeding exceptional puppies.

Gina,
Just wanted to let you know how the baby is doing. She has settled in
very nicely. She loves her new home and loves to play with cowboy. I
see her growing up so much every day, and she is having so much fun
exploring her new world. She is getting very good at house training and
rarely goes in the house. She had her vet appt. on Monday which went
very well also. I will send you some pictures as soon as I sort through
them (We've taken so many already). Thank you so much for taking such
good care of her and matching her to us.

Hi Gina,
Now that farm activities have slowed a bit, I thought I'd
send you an update on "Puppy D", the 4 pound wonder puppy!
PeeDee is 50+ pounds of energy now, but is able to calm
down so that he can been make visits to the senior citizens residences.
They LOVE him. He's a very sweet boy. "Golden" people are interested
in his breeding, & I've been giving them your info.
Thank you again for your help & we wish you the best!!

Hi Gina,
Karma is doing great. I think she is the sweetest puppy I have
ever owned!! She has a wonderful personality. She is very mild mannered, but
confident and really enjoys her 2 bigger sisters, Golden Buckeye and German
Shepherd, Sequoia. We are very happy with her. Thanks for the perfect
breeding!!!

Gina,
Abbey Rose just turned 8 months old and I just wanted to let you know how
much joy she has brought into our lives. Everywhere we take her people tell
us what a beautiful dog she is. Our response is always, "You can thank
Auntie Gina for her fine-tune breeding skills".
Every morning I get up, look into her crystal clear brown eyes and ask her,
"How'd you get so pretty." Her response is always to give me a big kiss and
then she runs for the back door. Smart, beautiful and rapidly becoming a
well-mannered citizen of the world. What more could any parent want!
I'm so glad we found you and took Abbey Rose into our family.
Thank you,
Larry & Hope Reed

Gina, Hi! Sorry it took so long to get you some pictures,
but here they are. "Tinkerbell" is such a joy, we all love her. As you
can see, the kids think of her as a little sister. She is already so smart I
can't get over it. Enjoy the pictures, We'll try to get you some more
soon.

p.s. We already have her scheduled for classes at the
Huntsman next April. Can't wait!! ☺

Hi Gina,
I thought you would
like to see some updated photos of Sophie and her “big sister” Allie. Annie
passed away a few weeks ago here at home and it has been so good for Allie to
have Sophie here. They are bonding well and she is the little leader. She
spends her daytime with Allie in the ½ bath laundry room and her sleeping night
time in the crate. She hated being crated during the day and not with Allie.
It is working really well and all seem happy. Potty training is going really
well, we have had minimal accidents in the last ten days and she runs for the
door when she has to go out. Her personality is wonderful and she is getting
bigger by the minute. She is close to 25 pounds now and always in the pond.
She loves the water. Allie and she will have a wonderful time up north this
summer at the lake.
Thanks for the
beautiful puppy.

Sadie's 1 year Birthday!

Just wanted to give you another update on Sadie, she is one of Piper's last
bunch born in late jan 2005. So she is almost 2 now! She has been doing great
with her dock diving competitions, at her first official jumping competition
she jumped 16 ft 9 in! Which was great for her. She is only 2 legs away from
her senior Ultimate Air Dogs title which she should complete next summer when
its warm enough again. The picture I sent is of her 16ft 9in jump. Also this
past year I entered some pictures of Sadie into a photo contest with Michigan
Tails Pet Magazine and she won 2 categories! You can see her pictures here
http://www.tailsinc.com/site/epage/36433_551.htm She won "Best Caught in
the Act"(as a pup) and "Most Relaxed Dog". All in all she has been a great pup,
healthy and feisty, she is still a brat sometimes, but we love her all the
same! Enjoy the pictures and feel free to post/share them with whoever.
Thanks!

Hi Gina, Just sending an update on Ximen - he is doing great, loves to attend
obedience school every week and just made his first visit to Santa. We will be
traveling to the east coast for the holidays and the dogs will be coming with
us so I'm glad he will have more experience visiting places, hotels, etc.
Hopefully in 2007 he will get into the therapy dog class for certification.
Here are a few updated pictures. Have a great holiday.
